Popadoms Indian Restaurant Farnborough

Popadoms is an Indian restaurant situated in Farnbrough Hants UK

On-Line ordering service.

Just launched: our new on-line ordering service.

I have been wanting to accept orders for our home delivery and takeaway service ever since we introduced computers for taking orders over the phone 7 years ago.

I don’t know why it has taken so long. I think I was waiting for the perfect solution, but I don’t think that is going to happen unless I spent an absolute fortune like Dominos Pizzas and get a system like theirs.

No I have decided to use the system that we have had in the restaurant since the beginning. Which is extremely stable, secure and easy to use. It must be easy to use, so that I can use it. (My thinking is if I can use it anyone can!)

I guess one of the main reasons was security when accepting credit cards. This system takes care of this through encrypting the orders and CC details.

Now all one has to do is go to our website, click on the right buttons and your order will be delivered within 30-45 minutes. In fact, I believe it will be quicker than ordering over the phone once you get used to it. I have tried it many times during testing and it works perfectly.

In fact the company that supplied us with the system has been testing it for years and it works really well. (I wish they had told me sooner)

So if you fancy ordering on line click here.

The on-line ordering worked very well for me. Although I never got an email confirmation, the food arrived in about 1/2 hour. The screens are very easy to follow and it gives you a running list / total price down the side - very useful. I appreciate that there is a 15% discount at the moment - is that why the free naan and or potatoes are not included? AND, the internet didn’t affect the flavour - it was still delicious and very hot…

    Hi John

I’m glad you liked your (Americanism) “experience”.
Yes the 15% discount does offset the free naan that is normally offered with orders over £15 or free Bombay Aloo with orders over £20. The computer programme does not allow us to compute a free item.

But I am working with the “techHeads” and hopefully we will find a solution.

Now if only I could find a way to deliver the curries on line…

    Best wisdes

    Hi Sean.

Just used your online ordering system. I appologise that i had forgotten that orders outside farnborough had to be over £20 not £15 as I had thought. I got a phone call approx 45 minutes later to inform me that i had not reached the minimum order limit so i said i would be happy for the order to be cancelled….however, food had already been cooked. May i suggest that when ordering online that the order should not be accepted and maybe be shown in red that there is a minimum delivery amount before the order being processed to avoid confusion for others. Also it is very difficult to order £20 worth of food for one person. Hope you are all well.

I like the little green V’s next to the vegetable items - lets me order with confidence…

Just waiting for another online delivery - I think it will be my third to date…
