On-Line ordering service.

Just launched: our new on-line ordering service.

I have been wanting to accept orders for our home delivery and takeaway service ever since we introduced computers for taking orders over the phone 7 years ago.

I don’t know why it has taken so long. I think I was waiting for the perfect solution, but I don’t think that is going to happen unless I spent an absolute fortune like Dominos Pizzas and get a system like theirs.

No I have decided to use the system that we have had in the restaurant since the beginning. Which is extremely stable, secure and easy to use. It must be easy to use, so that I can use it. (My thinking is if I can use it anyone can!)

I guess one of the main reasons was security when accepting credit cards. This system takes care of this through encrypting the orders and CC details.

Now all one has to do is go to our website, click on the right buttons and your order will be delivered within 30-45 minutes. In fact, I believe it will be quicker than ordering over the phone once you get used to it. I have tried it many times during testing and it works perfectly.

In fact the company that supplied us with the system has been testing it for years and it works really well. (I wish they had told me sooner)

So if you fancy ordering on line click here.

That was my summer holiday

Hello there,

I’m back, yeh! I know you never even noticed that I was gone!

I have just spent the last two weeks on holiday and I have come back raring to go!!

Where? I don’t know, but I am fully energised.

Two weeks holiday on a cruise ship, is quite a holiday, the food, the wine (lots of wine) and of course the sunshine. This year I even got a tan.

Here’s one of my pics
Sean and Lisa

As usual I got the red tan and Lisa got the dark deep brown tan. That’s Life!

As I have mentioned in a previous blog, I used to worked for 4 years on a cruise ship. I was an entertainments officer/dj. This time however I witnessed things from the other side!!

Cruising is a great form of holiday and on this occasion I travelled on board the Oceana a ship that carries 2000 passengers and 1000 crew. One of the best things about cruising is there are no significant delays in the departure lounge. You turn up, you drop your bags outside and then as if by magic your cases arrive in your cabin. Now that’s magic!!.

No doubt if you went on holiday this year out of Gatwick or Heathrow the delays and queues must have been hell. I know that when I last went through Gatwick earlier this year, we queued for nearly two hours. So god knows what it was like during the summer.

But seriously, once you get on board, it normally takes 30-45 minutes, you are actually on holiday, Pina Coladas all the way. I really can recommend a cruise.

Yep! We had a great time, but the 5 ports in 5 days were a bit heavy going in that glorious sunshine. Yeh it was tough, in Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome and Alghero (Sardinia) but we managed to get through it with lots of ice cold beers and long lunches.

Don’t even mention the meals on board, which again were great but a little dumbed down since I last cruised. And then there’s the bun fights and elbow jostling at tea-time.

Next time you visit Popadoms, just ask me for the run down.

Hey come and see me before my tan fades, yeh! I have got one really.
