We’ve put Giraffe on the menu
I thought that might get your attention.
Actually we haven’t, but one of our regular customers who is a vegetarian, thinks that we ought to put Quorn on the menu. What do you think?
Now I love my chicken and lamb dishes, but if you haven’t tried our vegetarian dishes, then I think that you are in for a surprise. Because, you may think that only the meat dishes will give you that warm, relaxed full up kind of feeling, but I am here to tell you that our vegetable dishes do that too.
Now I’m not sure about Quorn, although my partner Lisa fooled me for thinking that the chilli con carne and shepherds pies that she had made over the last 6 months were made with good ole’ red meat, where as in fact they were made using Quorn, which is a much healthier option. (You see I do not just eat curry all the time).
So if I can be fooled into believing that it was red meat, then anyone can. But I was taken by suprise
If you have any thoughts or comments, please let me know.
I’d love to hear from you.

Who owns Zaffron
Hi,
A lot of people ask me, (quite regularly), do you still own Zaffron Indian restaurant in Farnborough.
Well the answer is ……….no.
In fact I sold Zaffron to the current owner Yogi, who worked for me for the last 4 years. I owned Zaffron for 7 years and I decided last year to move on and just concentrate on Popadoms.
With all the work going on in the town centre, people ask what will happen to Zaffron. Well, the parade of shops that house the restaurant are not part of the big plans for the development of Farnborough town centre. No doubt at some point, the building will have to be pulled down, but not yet.
In fact the HSBC bank next door, is one of the busiest in the area and they have no other location to move to that will give their customers the access that they currently get. So I suppose until HSBC get their new location built, whenever that is, Zaffron will remain.
My relationship with Zaffron is very good, even though we are now rivals and they do have a better, more central location. But no, I do not own Zaffron anymore.
Naturally, I wish them well.
Take care

About My Area
I like to see new businesses taking off and I would like to wish good luck to Helen Castell.
Helen has just started a new business which is a franchise called “About My Area”
Helen approached me to advertise on her website, which is a community website for Farnborough. She has just started to approach potential customers and I am sure that she will do well.
Community websites are big in the USA and I think that the UK will have it share, in fact it already has. There are quite a few large community websites to advertise on. I mean when did you last look for a restaurant or plumber in the Yellow Pages or the Thomsons Directory. No the future is local.
So if you run a business and Helen comes your way, think about it, About My Area is already a big site nationally and if they link to your website, it can only help to elevate your website rankings with Google, which in turn means more people will find you and that will mean more business for you.
The cost. I paid £100 for the year.
Any comments?
Take care.
Sean
